These lotion bars were created to celebrate my 2 year anniversary with running The Barefoot Owl full time. I played around with two different formulas (a coffee infused oil and a chai oil - based on my two favorite drinks) and these little lotion bars came from that creativity. I wanted the molds to be different and when I saw the heart and little owl, I knew these would make some fun offerings.
Rebel Owl features coffee from my favorite bean supplier, BattleBorn Coffee Roasters in Tucson. We met vending at a market together and they have the best beans I have ever tried (which is saying a lot as I am a coffee snob). I infused coffee in olive oil and then blended it with my hydrating oil and mango butter. It is lightly coffee scented without being overpowering and leaves ones hands soft.
The roast I used for this batch of lotion bars is Borderline. It is a dark roast and is mild, sweet, and savory with mild cocoa notes.

During warm/hot months (May through October, depending on where you are located), please stick your lotion bar in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, after receiving your order.
